How to Enter the 2009 Bronze Quill Awards Contest
Deadline: May 22, 2009
1) ELIGIBILITY: Work must have been produced between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2008, and created in Colorado. The Bronze Quill Competition is open to all professional communicators, both IABC members and nonmembers.
For entrants submitting a project on behalf of a client, i.e., agencies, or for individuals submitting a project on behalf of a company they were once an employee of, i.e., a past employer, on all occasions the entrant must include a letter of consent, which gives the company's permission to disclose corporate information as part of the entry requirements. If the material is proprietary, be sure to clearly indicate this on your entry and entry form. Entries that do require, but do not include, a letter of permission will be disqualified.
2) ENTRY FORM: For each entry, complete two copies of the Entry Form and attach them to your submission (one for IABC Colorado and one for the judging chapter). A PDF document of the Entry Form is located here.
3) PROJECT SUMMARY: Submit a typed project summary for each entry. It should be single-spaced and no longer than two pages (excluding Entry Form). Include:
a) A copy of the completed Entry Form.
b) Overview of communications challenge or opportunity.
c) Description of target audience(s).
d) Campaign/program strategy and goals.
e) The outcome. Include results and how they were measured.
f) Project budget and actual expenses.
g) Explanation of your role in producing the entry and the names of others, including agency personnel, who were involved.
4) PROJECT SAMPLES: Include two full copies/sets of your work product. Please note: Your entry, along with others, may be placed in boxes and shipped out-of-state to other IABC chapters for judging. To ensure that all components of your entry stay together and make a good presentation for the judges, package each entry separately in a binder or large envelope. Entries for ads, posters, photography, etc. should be mounted on black matte board. Please do not exceed 36 inches by 24 inches. Remember to submit two full copies of your project samples.
