IABC Colorado Receives Merit Award for Leadership Development

DENVER, February 10, 2009 – The Colorado Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) was honored with an Award of Merit for leadership development at the organization’s annual Leadership Institute, held February 5-7 in Orlando, Florida.

IABC International confers this award recognizing success in training new officers and volunteers to run its 100 local chapters around the world.

“We’re very pleased that our hard work in volunteer recruitment has been recognized by our peers,” said Trina O’Brien, IABC Colorado president. Each of our nine officers is incredibly focused on serving our 170 members statewide, and all are committed to the advancement of the communications profession.”
