IABC Colorado is seeking nominees for the Chapter’s Board of Directors. Service on IABC Colorado’s Board of Directors provides members with an opportunity to grow their personal leadership skills, connect with other business communicators throughout the association and enhance their professional profile.
To apply for IABC Colorado’s Board of Directors, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- A member in good standing of IABC and IABC Colorado
- Passionate about business communications
- Prior volunteer leadership experience gained via IABC or another organization
- Available for monthly one-hour meetings as well as two half-day strategic planning sessions beginning July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012
- Willing and able to commit to the roles and responsibilities of a leadership position
Members may self-nominate or be nominated by another member of IABC Colorado. The IABC Colorado Nominating Committee will review all nominations and provide the current board of directors with a proposed slate. The current board will vote on the slate that will, in turn, be provided to the entire membership for a vote no later than May 26, 2011. Nominees will be informed of their status throughout the process.
The board term begins July 1, 2011 and ends June 30, 2012.
